Girl Scouts Hillsboro Troop 65052 Somerset Regional Animal Shelter – Pet Memorial Plate fundraiser

The purpose of the project is to raise funds for the shelter, which go towards behavior modification, animal control, affordable spay & neuter, pet retention programs and other services that the shelter provides. A limited run of weather-resistant acrylic plates will be made to order for our donors and will be affixed to the bench that is currently installed in the dog park. Each plate features a nickel silver finish and measures 3″ W x 1 1/4″ H.

 

To participate, please do the following:

1. Go https://gofund.me/53bc21ae  to make your $30 (or greater) donation. All proceeds will benefit the Somerset Regional Animal Shelter (https://srasnj.org).

2. Place your order for a plate below (be sure to complete the checkout process (please note that optional paw prints or hearts may be added, the cost of which help My Pet For Life defray the cost of production)

3. All submissions must be completed by 9/30/2022. Once the participation window for fundraising has finished, plates will be engraved and affixed to the bench adjacent to the Ann Van Middlesworth Dog Park at 17 Pleasant View Rd, Hillsborough Township, NJ 08844.

PLEASE NOTE: Troop 65052 and My Pet For Life are producing these memorial plates and affixing them to the bench shown above, but we cannot be held responsible for loss or damage of plates due to theft, vandalism or other reasons. Due to the costs and time involved in plate production we will not able to provide replacements in the event that the plates are removed or defaced.

A few notes about engraving:

It’s always helpful to include an attended phone number with your order. We occasionally have questions and try to text or call first, as an email might delay fulfillment of your order. The phone call/text will come from 609-474-4699.

We usually center the text on our plates, with the first line as large as possible – the size of the text depends on the overall number of characters and the space available.
Clip art on engraved plates is usually placed to the right and left of the text. If you request it, we can put a paw or heart in place of text.

Block is the most popular font style, but many customers do prefer script. Please keep in mind the fact that we don’t engrave any words in all capital letters in the script style, as the words become virtually unreadable.

A very full submission (use of all available characters) can result in a plate that is somewhat cluttered and harder to read, due to the smaller type size (especially in script). Similarly, all capital letters take up more space than mixed case. Please consider this when creating your submission.
